Your new company is an international business that supports its customers through service locations and authorised dealer networks. They offer aftermarket support for various products, focusing on sectors like automotive, agriculture, construction, marine, mining, rail, and power generation.

 

Your new role involves working with the Business Unit Controller to ensure consistent accounting practices and participating in the leadership team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing quarterly forecasting and Annual Operating Plan for the region.
  • Providing strategic financial analysis to drive decisions and identify profitability improvements.
  • Leading regional financial reviews and P&L variance analysis.
  • Conducting analysis for capital projects.
  • Managing accounting practices for consistency and compliance.
  • Forecasting logistics costs and inventory to improve efficiency.
  • Mentoring and coaching the finance team, ensuring alignment and succession planning.

 

To succeed in this role, you need strong analytical and financial reporting skills, including experience in forecast planning, management, and cost accounting, variance analysis, and decision-making. You should be an effective business partner, balancing stakeholder needs, and possess excellent communication skills to work closely with leaders and persuade others. Proficiency in SAP or other financial systems like Oracle or Movex is essential.
