Medical Administrator with High Attention to Detail

We are seeking a highly organized Medical Administrator to join our team at Northlands Surgery in Calne, Wiltshire. As a Repeat Prescriptions Care Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of prescription requests for our patients.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment, using your exceptional organizational skills to coordinate and prepare repeat prescriptions, data entry onto patient records, and liaising with patients and community pharmacies.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent literacy and numeracy skills, combined with a high attention to detail and the ability to problem solve on a day-to-day basis. You must also have excellent communication skills, as you will be the main point of contact for patient enquiries about their prescriptions.
The ideal candidate will be able to build strong professional relationships with service users, colleagues, and external healthcare and pharmacy providers, while maintaining high standards of communication and professionalism.
You will be working independently, monitoring workload and seeking support from senior staff when required, and demonstrating a flexible and adaptable attitude.
This role requires:

The salary for this role is approximately £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, and we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, paid annual leave, and opportunities for career development.
Our surgery is a busy, friendly, and supportive training practice in the heart of beautiful Wiltshire, serving over 13,700 patients. We have a good CQC rating, use SystmOne/ Ardens, and have a high QOF achievement. We are actively involved in our ICB and PCN, and we have a thriving Patient Participation Group.
