Locum Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Learning Disability Service as a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with learning disabilities, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to promote the safety and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with learning disabilities
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives
- Participate in teaching and training of junior staff and students
- Engage in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Registration with the GMC and a license to practice
- Eligibility for CCT in Learning Disabilities or equivalent
- Experience of working with patients with learning disabilities and their families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead others
