London, Greater London, United Kingdom CV-Library Full time

At Veolia, we are driven by a shared vision of creating a better future for our communities and the environment. As an Environmental Transformation Manager, you will play a key role in helping us achieve this goal by leading community engagement and service improvement projects across Westminster.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced manager to join our team as an Environmental Transformation Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering community engagement and service improvement projects that aim to reduce waste and increase recycling in Westminster. You will work closely with our Area ECO Manager and line manage three ECO Officers, sharing best practice and expertise with colleagues across our award-winning national ECO team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver community engagement and service improvement projects across Westminster, changing resident behaviours to reduce waste and increase recycling;
  • Work with the Social Value Officer to provide ECO support for initiatives across local employment, internships and work experience support, and our funding programme for local communities;
  • Identify good news stories and feed them to the regional external engagement team, as well as working closely with this team to showcase our expertise in behaviour change and social value delivery across digital channels and press;
  • Understand industry developments and build strong relationships with your client and colleagues at all levels across the contract;
  • Provide daily contact to our client (Westminster City Council) and have responsibility for the business as usual outputs of the team, including management of the ECO team budget;
  • Drive the performance of the ECO officers, coaching and mentoring them to improve their project planning, community engagement approach, and support them in achieving their personal goals;

What We're Looking For

  • Project development and management;
  • People and budget management - can be project-based rather than as a direct line manager;
  • Experience delivering behaviour change and/or community engagement techniques and analysing results;
  • Experience of building strong stakeholder relationships;

The Perfect Candidate

We know how important it is to be fully committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive place to work for every one of our colleagues. We are committed to ensuring that all job applicants and members of staff are treated equally, without discrimination because of sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £44,800 per annum, plus bonus potential up to 17%;
  • 25 days of annual leave;
  • Access to our company pension scheme;
  • Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health;
  • One paid day's leave every year to volunteer and support your community;
  • Discounts on everything from groceries to well-known retailers;
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential;

About Us

We are Veolia, a leading provider of environmental services. Our mission is to help create a better future for our communities and the environment. We believe that everyone has a role to play in reducing waste and increasing recycling, and we are committed to supporting our customers and stakeholders in achieving this goal.

Location

This role is based in Westminster, London, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.

Estimated Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
