Job Title: ACCA Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

The IT Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the end-to-end process of the Global Data Centre Infrastructure analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting. This includes reviewing and supporting the overall Infrastructure cash spend, projects, and expenses within the P&L. The successful candidate will have a good eye for detail, the ability to investigate and explain the drivers of results, and identify risks/opportunities to bring results back in line with the plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Senior IT Finance Analyst with forecasting and annual planning, including the 5-year strategic plan of infrastructure spend.
  2. Prepare and review analytical commentary for monthly reports, ensuring timely and quality submission of the Infra spend, projects, and expense forecast.
  3. Manage IT allocations for all reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, ensuring the conversion of IT support expenses is well understood and that a demonstrable audit trail exists.
  4. Proactively identify areas of risk and opportunity within the Infra expense base.
  5. Interact with the Financial Accountant to provide and obtain information and understand the impact on the forecast on the financial result.
  6. Support the Senior IT Finance Analyst with ad hoc purchase orders and other supplier needs.
  7. Assist the Senior IT Finance Analyst in improving processes and other ad hoc projects.
  8. Own month-end financial accruals and prepayments in Peoplesoft.
  9. Support the Senior IT Finance Analyst on monthly finance reporting (CIO) to Head Office and provide commentary on actuals and full-year forecast movements.

Requirements:

  1. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  2. Commercial acumen.
  3. High level of analytical ability and process analysis.
  4. Strong systems and Excel knowledge.
  5. High orientation to on-time delivery.
  6. Proven record of meeting tight deadlines.
  7. IT Finance FP&A experience.
  8. Experience dealing effectively with people at all levels (both financial & non-financial).
  9. Ideally, previous experience working on business change projects.
