Job Title: Finance Analyst

Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end process of the Global Data Centre Infrastructure analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting. This includes reviewing and supporting the overall Infrastructure cash spend, projects, and expense within the P&L. The successful candidate will develop forecasts, assist with planning processes, and provide timely communication of issues and changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior IT Finance Analyst with forecasting and annual planning, including the 5-year strategic plan of infrastructure spend.
  • Prepare and review analytical review commentary for monthly reports, ensuring timely and quality submission of the Infra spend, projects, and expense forecast.
  • Manage the IT allocations for all reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, ensuring a demonstrable audit trail exists.
  • Support the consumption model for infrastructure costs, demonstrating to COG stakeholders what their charges consist of.
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and opportunity within the Infra expense base.
  • Support capital spend and associated depreciation model.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Accountant to provide and obtain information, understanding the impact on the forecast on the financial result.
  • Assist with raising purchase orders and vendor queries, reviewing and processing intercompany invoices.
  • Support the Senior IT Finance Analyst with ad hoc purchase orders and other supplier needs.
  • Manage quarterly invoices for Infrastructure, ensuring timely submission and including any additional Capacity and Demand charges.
  • Assist the Senior IT Finance Analyst with improving processes and other ad hoc projects.
  • Own month-end financial accruals and prepayment into Peoplesoft.
  • Support the Senior IT Finance Analyst with monthly finance reporting (CIO) to Head Office, providing commentary on actuals and full-year forecast movements.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Commercial Acumen.
  • High level of analytical ability and process analysis.
  • Strong Systems and Excel knowledge.
  • High orientation to on-time delivery.
  • Proven record of meeting tight deadlines.
  • IT Finance FP&A experience.
  • Experience of dealing effectively with people at all levels (both financial & non-financial).
  • Ideally previous experience working on business change projects.
