Job Description

As a Product Development Manager at Bromcom Computers Plc, you will be responsible for leading the development of our products to meet business requirements and customer expectations.

You will work closely with the Head of Product to build a roadmap for future features and ensure that our products are aligned with market trends and customer needs.

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per year.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage product backlogs and user stories for implementation
  • Collaborate with customers and end-users to gather information on expected product features
  • Monitor product development progress and plan for product release
  • Conduct backlog refining meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend sprint planning and review meetings to provide feedback on sprint achievement
  • Deliver new features by serving as a voice to project customer expectations
  • Highlight and specify product features in a manner clearly understandable to the development team
  • Analyse customer opinions and feedback to determine features or components that will add substantial value to a product
  • Exchange ideas with internal and external stakeholders to drive product development

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership skill: Able to direct and motivate the product development team
  • Analytical skill: Able to conduct surveys to determine most appropriate feature to add to a product
  • Interpersonal skill: Adapt to working with user groups and scrum team to obtain and analyse user stories
  • A deep understanding of agile/lean principles, with a willingness to adapt and learn
  • Ability to negotiate and compromise to deliver quality within timescales
  • Excellent decision-making skills
