About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our Clinical Trials team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical trials dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense clinical trials prescriptions promptly and accurately, adhering to trial protocols, standard operating procedures, and current legislation.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the trials service runs efficiently, including stock control, accurate record keeping, and drug accountability.
  • Counsel patients on their trial medication and provide clerical support to the Senior Technicians and other team members as required.

Requirements

  • GCSE level (Grade A-C in English and Maths) or Numeracy and Literacy functional skills level 2 (or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or relevant GPhC accredited Training Programme equivalent to Level 2.
  • Experience of working in pharmacy, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, ordering and stock management, and working with healthcare professionals.
