Senior Pharmacy Assistant, Clinical Trials Coordinator

About the Role
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our Clinical Trials team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical trials dispensary.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense clinical trials prescriptions promptly and accurately, adhering to trial protocols, standard operating procedures, and current legislation.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the trials service runs efficiently, including stock control, accurate record keeping, and drug accountability.
- Counsel patients on their trial medication and provide excellent customer service.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and supply of clinical trial medication within the pharmacy.
- Provide clerical support to senior technicians and pharmacists as required.
Requirements
- GCSE level (Grade A-C in English and Maths) or Numeracy and Literacy functional skills level 2 (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or relevant GPhC accredited Training Programme equivalent to Level 2.
- Experience of working in pharmacy, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, ordering and stock management, and working with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, manage time and prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and use Microsoft office applications.
