Primary Care Physician

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Bolton Community Practice, a busy GP surgery with four sites in Bolton, delivering GP services to over 15,000 patients. We are an EMIS Web practice.
Main duties of the job- As a GP in primary care, you will be expected to perform a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries.
- You will make professional decisions in relation to presenting problems and assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- You will screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
This role is ideal for a newly qualified GP looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment. You will be working in a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients.
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive service to patients.
- You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries.
- You will make professional decisions in relation to presenting problems and assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- You will screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- You will understand and apply legal policy that supports the identification of vulnerable and abused children and adults.
- You will develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols.
Requirements:
- Qualified GP with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make clear and concise medical notes.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
