The Senior Production Manager will report directly to the Plant Director and be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in production management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Production Process Management: Oversee and manage the entire production process to ensure efficient and timely output of high-quality products.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet targets.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of three Production Managers, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to optimize production processes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Equipment Management: Manage and maintain production equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and timely repairs.
- Data Analysis: Analyze production data and prepare reports for senior management.
- Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation, including investment requirements to meet production demands.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in production management, preferably within the retail or manufacturing sectors.
- Skills: Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and processes. Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality control principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in production management software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with industry trends.
