About the Role
Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to join our team at The Manor Hospital in Oxford. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across all clinical departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and advice on medicines management to ensure safe, cost-effective, and legal processes.
- Lead, motivate, and effectively manage the pharmacy team.
- Optimise antimicrobial management to minimise hospital-acquired infections.
- Ensure pharmacy adherence to up-to-date policies, guidelines, and systems of work.
- Facilitate timely and informed discharge of patients by dispensing, accuracy checking, and clinically checking TTOs.
- Implement medication safety alerts and drug recalls for the hospital.
- Monitor DoH guidance on controlled drugs use and ensure quarterly CD audits.
- Manage errors, complaints, and incidents in line with Nuffield Health guidelines.
- Support the development of other healthcare professionals and deliver medicines-focused training.
Requirements
- Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Experience of working in a clinical setting as a Pharmacist is essential.
- Leadership/managerial experience in a Pharmacy setting.
- Awareness and knowledge of Oncology Pharmacy.
