Product Development Chemist

About the Role:
">- As a Product Development Chemist at Sika, you will be responsible for developing polymers and small molecules for use in sealants, adhesives, and coatings.
- You will work closely with other teams to ensure safe and efficient manufacture.
- Your key responsibility will be leading short-/medium-/ and long-term projects from the laboratory through to production.
- You will collaborate with peers and colleagues working across Sika UK as well as the global business.
Salary and Benefits:
">We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
">In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits including 25 days' annual leave, rising to 28 days with service, plus bank holidays.
">You will also have access to our company pension scheme, private healthcare, and life assurance.
">About the Team:
">You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team of eight people working in the lab.
">The team prides itself on a strong basis of openness and support, where successes and mistakes are freely exchanged.
">Key Skills and Qualifications:
">- Degree educated in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related subjects.
- Previous industrial experience required (at least 2+ years, ideally 5+).
- You will have a strong self-drive towards product development and maintenance.
- Good project management and organisational skills are required to maintain progress over multiple projects running in tandem.
