We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate RF Engineer to join our team at the Chilbolton Observatory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting and managing operations for atmospheric science radars and space situational awareness tracking systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and manage operations for atmospheric science radars and space situational awareness tracking systems
- Support technical development of radars
- Provide technical support for other projects operating at the Observatory
- Achieved, or be on course to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree, in a relevant field of study
- Have the right to live and work in the UK at time of starting employment
- Have own transport to reach Chilbolton Observatory
- Good general knowledge of basic electronics, including both analogue and digital design
- Knowledge of the C programming language
- Good communication skills
- Practical electronic assembly skills
- Experience with electronic test equipment
- RF design - radio links
- Programmable digital logic design - FPGA
- Experience with microcontrollers - PIC AVR etc
