About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at MiChild Group's Blackpool nursery. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Nursery Manager on a daily basis to provide support and guidance to the team.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to achieve high standards of care and education.
  • Make decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all nursery policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the training and development of staff.
  • Attend management team meetings to contribute to the development of the nursery.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Safeguarding procedures.
  • Previous experience as a Room Supervisor or Deputy Manager in a nursery environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly and cover shifts as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
