As an Education Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and well-being of our pupils, aged 5-18, who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to create a structured and nurturing environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of lessons and activities, preparing materials and resources as needed
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Help to develop and implement individualized learning plans, working closely with teaching staff and other professionals
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting positive relationships and a sense of belonging
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and organized learning environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
Requirements

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting the education and well-being of vulnerable young people. You will need:

  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor, with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
