Cloud Security Senior Analyst

Motorway is seeking a Cloud Security Senior Analyst to join our team. As a senior member of our security team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day security monitoring of networks, systems, and security logs for indications of intrusion or malicious activity.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of AWS and GCP administration, security tooling, cloud security operations, and incident response. They will also have technical knowledge of best practice security for networks, systems, web applications, APIs, and databases.

You will also be responsible for providing mentoring of SOC Analysts and producing relevant training materials, including tabletop exercises. In addition, you must be able to be part of an on-call rota.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company offers a range of benefits, including BUPA health insurance, discounted dental through BUPA, and a hybrid working from home arrangement with approximately 1-2 days in the office per week.

Job Requirements
  • Manage day-to-day security monitoring of networks, systems, and security logs for indications of intrusion or malicious activity and handle escalated events.
  • Provide mentoring of SOC Analysts and production of relevant training materials (including tabletop exercises).
  • Be part of on-call rota.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AWS and GCP administration, security tooling, cloud security operations, and incident response.
  • Technical knowledge of best practice security for networks, systems, web applications, APIs, and databases.
  • Systems forensics and investigation skills (MACOS and Windows internals).
