About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects related to prison construction and renovation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Lead a team of project managers and other project workers to deliver projects successfully
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, building regulations, and planning standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including prison staff, contractors, and suppliers
  • Manage project budgets, ranging from £50,000 to £500,000
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
  • 3 years managerial and technical experience in project delivery for construction and renovation works
  • Experience in minor works projects covering a diverse range of services, including mechanical, electrical, groundworks, and building fabric
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, building regulations, and planning standards
  • Considerable knowledge of the built environment
  • Proven experience managing teams of project managers and other project workers
  • Management of project budgets from £50,000 to £500,000
  • Expert knowledge of a project-based business area, running high-volume, low-value work programs up to £10m per annum
  • Project Management qualifications, such as MSP, PRINCE2, or APM
  • Public sector, defense, or similar experience preferred
  • Driving license
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
