PSR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team on a Freelance basis. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various projects across Yorkshire, working in a variety of sectors including highways, infrastructure, and earthworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the required standards and regulations.
  • ITP's (Inspection & Test Plans): Develop and implement inspection and test plans to ensure the quality of work.
  • Setting out: Conduct site surveys and set out projects to ensure accurate placement of materials and equipment.
  • Supervision of trades/delivery teams: Oversee the work of tradespeople and delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Planning work packs and method statements/risk assessments: Develop and implement plans for all work involved, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Chairing meetings, managing sub-contractors: Lead meetings with sub-contractors and manage their work to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Chairing stakeholder reviews: Lead reviews with stakeholders to ensure that projects are meeting their requirements.
  • Mentoring team and ensuring training is kept up to date: Provide guidance and support to team members and ensure that they have the necessary training to perform their duties.
  • Attending planning and workshop: Participate in planning and workshop sessions to ensure that projects are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Driving programme at a site level: Oversee the project program and ensure that it is being implemented effectively.
  • Quantifying material and ordering through the procurement system: Manage the procurement of materials and equipment for projects.
  • Keeping accurate QA records or site progress: Maintain accurate records of project progress and quality assurance.
  • Reporting to weekly progress to Construction Manager and planning team: Provide regular updates to the Construction Manager and planning team on project progress.
  • Working with the commercial team to build the scheme within budget: Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure that projects are completed within budget.

Requirements:

  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • HNC/HND or Equivalent
  • On-site experience as an Engineer, including setting out and QA responsibilities
  • Prior use of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Use of AutoCAD
