Job Title: Trainee Mill Operative

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Mill Operative. As a Trainee Mill Operative, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and develop your skills in a variety of areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undergo comprehensive training and development to ensure the necessary skills and expertise to take the business forward.
  • Use control measures provided for reasons of health and safety, including safe systems of work and personal protective equipment.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences and cooperate in incident investigations arising from or possibly leading to health and safety and environmental matters.
  • Take care of the health and safety of yourself and others.
  • Maintain and develop your skills to keep up with the demands of changing technology, working practices, and flexible working.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment is essential.
  • Someone looking to further their education and eventually gain an engineering qualification.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Forklift driving is desirable but not essential.
