The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENDCo and class teachers to provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Support: Provide one-to-one assistance to students with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment, adapting resources, and delivering differentiated activities.
  • Effective Communication: Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, ensuring clear communication about progress and any concerns.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform future support.
