Deputy Team Manager, UASC Service

Pertemps is recruiting for a qualified and experienced Deputy Team Manager to join the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Service.

About the Role

The postholder will support a high-performance culture within the team, with consistent good practice across the team. They will actively support the team manager in decision making, chairing meetings and actively working in partnership with partners/multi-agencies, particularly Housing, Health and Education, to be able to advocate for young people to secure access to the services they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team manager in decision making and chairing meetings
  • Work in partnership with partners/multi-agencies to advocate for young people
  • Support recruitment, induction, training and supervision of team members
  • Champion professional career development
Requirements
  • Proven track record as a Deputy Team Manager in Safeguarding/Permanence
  • Confident in the application of all legal proceedings and legal frameworks
  • Robust understanding of young people's whole journey through the care system
  • Experience in promoting stable placements and implementing positive long-term change and improvements
  • SWE registered
