The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with customs rules and regulations, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with national and international suppliers and agents to arrange freight deliveries and collections between ports, airports, and warehouses
  • Managing freight bookings using a CDS computer Declarations system
  • Preparing customs documents for shipment
  • Ensuring compliance of various documents with appropriate standards
  • Transferring documents to customs brokers
  • Ensuring technical and administrative liaison for the movement of goods
  • Checking that tax and customs documents are correct
  • Working with national and international suppliers and agents
  • Handling invoices and payments
  • Arranging for the shipment of goods into and/or out of the country
  • Preparing and processing all necessary documentation, including quotes, invoices, customs clearances, receipts, and other documents
  • Tracking shipments and ensuring the distribution of goods

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping, import, export, logistics, and transportation, and will be able to work on a variety of tasks until the job is done. They will also have good customer service experience, be polite and patient, and be able to work on their own initiative.

A car owner/driver is required due to the location of the business.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customs and import/export
  • Strong knowledge of customs rules and regulations
  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks until the job is done
