Job Title: Senior Audio Designer

At Blizzard Entertainment, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio Designer to join our team. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality audio assets for our games.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the creative director to execute the audio design vision.
  • Design and deliver high-quality audio assets, including sound effects, music, and voiceovers.
  • Implement audio using in-house tools and industry-standard software.
  • Build and maintain effective mix architectures to ensure consistent audio quality.
  • Test and review audio implementation to ensure accuracy and readiness for release.
  • Regularly review work with senior team members to maintain a consistent audio style.
  • Collaborate with developers to explore new tools and techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by building strong communication channels.
  • Attend development team meetings and provide updates on audio progress.
  • Meet deadlines and coordinate with other teams to ensure audio work aligns with project schedules.

Requirements:
  • Proven track record of at least two released or live games.
  • Expertise in at least one DAW (digital audio workstation).
  • Proficiency with standard audio software such as REAPER, Pro Tools, Vegas Pro, and Izotope RX.
  • Demonstrated sound design and editing skills, supported by a strong demo reel.
  • Ability to design audio for a wide range of styles.
  • Experience implementing sound in games using various development tools and pipelines.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new in-house game editors for integrating audio content.
  • Strong knowledge of game production processes and audio implementation pipelines.
  • Basic understanding of coding techniques related to audio.

  • In-house game development experience with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback constructively in a professional environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines, regularly reporting progress to producers.
  • Ability to take initiative, demonstrate autonomy, and own your areas of design.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Organized and proactive in maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
