About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Pharmacist to join our Medicines Optimisation Team at NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in improving the quality and safety of medicines use across our locality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement medicines optimisation initiatives to improve the cost-effective and evidence-based use of medicines across our locality.
  • Contribute to the development of medicines optimisation strategy, policy, and guidelines.
  • Lead on agreed clinical areas within the Medicines Optimisation Team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other teams to develop and co-ordinate work plans.
  • Provide highly specialised advice on medicines optimisation to support pathway and service redesign.
  • Represent Kirklees Health and Care Partnership for medicines optimisation issues.
Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of medicines optimisation issues, including national legislation and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of current primary care issues and structures.
  • Experience of communicating and engaging effectively with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Experience of leading and managing staff.
