About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Pharmacist to join our Medicines Optimisation Team at NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in improving the quality and safety of medicines use across our locality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Medicines Optimisation initiatives and strategies to improve the cost-effective and evidence-based use of medicines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the development and implementation of Medicines Optimisation initiatives at practice and PCN level.
  • Provide highly specialised advice on medicines optimisation to support pathway and service redesign.
  • Represent Kirklees Health and Care Partnership for medicines optimisation issues in prescribing groups across the health economy.
  • Provide highly specialist advice on medicines optimisation in response to queries from healthcare professionals, practice staff, patients, carers, and the public.
Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of Medicines Optimisation Issues, including national legislation and guidelines and policy.
  • Knowledge of current primary care issues and structures.
  • Experience of communicating and engaging effectively with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Experience of leading and managing staff.
