About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the site, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our recycling and waste management facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of people based at the site, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • You will be responsible for managing performance KPIs for SUEZ and the local authority client, ensuring we meet our targets and exceed customer expectations.
  • Operations include operating mobile plant, achieving high recycling and recovery rates for the sites, and managing material flow to ensure efficient and effective waste management.
  • You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the local authority client and the general public, ensuring we meet our customer service standards.
Requirements
  • You must have good communication and people management skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • You must be confident when dealing with both internal and external customers, and have a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Technical competence such as COTC and Mobile Plant is an advantage, as is a general safety qualification.
  • You must also have experience of administrational operating systems and the Microsoft Office package.
  • Supervisory experience is essential for this role.
