About the Role

The Site Manager will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the site, including operating mobile plant, achieving high recycling and recovery rates, and providing excellent customer service to the local authority client and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Site Manager will oversee the site's daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve recycling and recovery rates, and identify opportunities for value-added services.
  • Manage material flow, ensuring timely and efficient processing of materials, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement site-specific plans, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, with a strong background in recycling and waste management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
