About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the site, ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling and waste management facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of people based at the sites, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively to meet our operational goals.
  • You will be responsible for managing performance KPIs for SUEZ and the local authority client, ensuring we are meeting our targets and delivering high-quality services.
  • Operations will include operating mobile plant, achieving high recycling and recovery rates for the sites, and managing material flow to ensure efficient and effective waste management.
  • You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the local authority client and the general public, ensuring we are meeting their needs and expectations.
  • You will seek out value-adding opportunities arising from the operations managed, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • You must be able to demonstrate good communication and people management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You must be confident in your ability to deal with both internal and external customers, and work well as part of a team.
  • Technical competence such as COTC and Mobile Plant is an advantage, as is a general safety qualification.
  • You must have experience of administrational operating systems and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Supervisory experience is essential, with a proven track record of managing teams and achieving operational goals.
