Construction Site Supervisor

Location:
Site Based – Essex and Suffolk region (Head office Walsall)

Salary:
up to £45k, Company Car/Allowance and benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Site Supervisor to oversee our diverse teams on-site. You will primarily operate from our Walsall Office, managing a variety of projects within the Southern Frameworks. This role offers a unique chance to engage in stimulating projects for our clients, spanning areas such as environmental and energy management, plant and infrastructure upkeep, and emergency response, while advancing your career in a rapidly growing organization.

Integrated Water Services (Mechanical and Electrical) IWS M&E is part of the South Staffordshire Group, a robust organization with 3000 employees behind South Staffs and Cambridge water, among other utilities sector businesses. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all essential documentation for site operations, including management plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Manage and oversee all site activities, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, and collaborate with client personnel to schedule outages.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary site documentation, including daily logs, records of delays and changes, and pertinent safety, health, and environmental paperwork. Generate progress reports as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate with suppliers, specialized subcontractors, in-house teams, and site installation and construction crews. Review and authorize subcontractor site documentation while maintaining records of subcontractor performance.
  • Conduct site inductions and regular safety briefings for all personnel visiting and working on-site.
  • Prepare requisitions for materials and equipment to guarantee availability for site operations.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 6 in Site Management (desirable)
  • Relevant health and safety certifications, such as IOSH or CITB 5 Day training.
  • Valid First Aid at Work certification
  • Valid EUSR WATER Hygiene training
  • Proven experience in project management, including proficiency in MS Project, with a history of successful project execution.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills, with a focus on customer service and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
