Position Overview:

We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a permanent Administrative Support Specialist in the Direct Payments Team, part of the broader Adult Support Services Financial Services Team.

This dynamic and evolving service is dedicated to delivering financial support functions for Adult Social Care at Gloucestershire County Council, catering to individuals who are particularly vulnerable due to their care and assistance needs.

In this role, you will oversee a range of administrative tasks within the Direct Payment Team, including the management of prepaid card transactions, addressing customer inquiries, and overseeing payment and invoice processes.

The position is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester, offering flexible working arrangements that combine both office and remote work.

Candidate Profile:

You should possess prior experience in an administrative support capacity, preferably within a financial context.

Experience in processing invoices or engaging in procurement-related activities is essential.

A high level of IT proficiency is required, along with a solid understanding of relevant financial protocols. Familiarity with the Care Act 2014 and other pertinent legislation is crucial, as our team ensures compliance with the charging provisions outlined in this legislation.

You will have experience working with management information, including the ability to present data through reports, tables, and graphs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
