Victim Support Advocate

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Victim Support Advocate. As an Independent Victim Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing support and advocacy to victims of crime in the North Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with adults and children who have been impacted by crime, assessing support needs and completing risk assessments.
- Provide immediate and ongoing support and advocacy, including home visits.
- Explain processes and act as a single point of contact throughout the victim's journey in the criminal justice system.
- Develop relationships with other organisations who support victims of crime.
Requirements:
- A self-starter with good organisational and time management skills.
- An excellent communicator.
- Able to work across teams and with external agencies to achieve goals.
- Comfortable working in a digital environment and able to use a range of IT equipment and programs.
- An understanding of crime and the impact it has on individuals and communities.
