About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caseworker to join our team in North Yorkshire. As an Independent Victim Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting victims of crime, providing them with the necessary guidance and advocacy to navigate the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the support needs of victims and provide immediate and ongoing support, including home visits.
  • Explain the Victim's Code of Practice and provide information on their rights.
  • Act as a single point of contact for victims throughout their journey in the criminal justice system.
  • Develop relationships with other organizations that support victims of crime.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with victims, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Comfortable working in a digital environment and using a range of IT equipment and programs.
  • Understanding of crime and its impact on individuals and communities.
