Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Sensory Occupational Therapist within our Therapy team at Aspris Childrens Services Limited. Our team provides support and care for young people with Autism and severe learning disabilities, offering a range of services in school settings and residential provisions.
We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working together to improve the lives of the young people we educate.
As a Sensory Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include performing assessments to establish the needs of our young people, monitoring progress, conducting observations, providing sensory recommendations, and carrying out direct therapeutic work to train our staff.
You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey sensitive information to our young people, their families, and other professionals. You will also have excellent time management skills, be self-motivated, and able to organise and prioritise your work to meet deadlines within the department.
This role requires flexibility on occasions, as you may need to work across two specialist ASD schools and offer support to our residential provisions in the Chorley and Preston area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing assessments to establish the needs of our young people
- Monitoring progress and conducting observations
- Providing sensory recommendations and carrying out direct therapeutic work
- Working with up to 60 young people who have autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
