Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team at Bush & Co Rehabilitation. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to a young person with Cerebral Palsy and Autism, who is fully wheelchair dependant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the young person, including collecting them from school, moving and handling, hoisting, and medication administration.
  • Support the young person in accessing school, leisure, and community activities, and encourage their rehabilitation.
  • Assist with household tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Provide pet care and dog walking services.
  • Drive the client's vehicle to and from school and accompany the client on trips within the community.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with people with Autism and associated behavioural challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours:

15 hours per week, Monday 12:00-17:00, Wednesday 12:00-17:00, Friday 12:00-17:00.

Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check: An enhanced check will be required due to the nature of the role.
