The position of IT Cybersecurity Specialist at Wedlake Bell LLP involves working closely with the Information Security Manager to maintain and develop our critical cybersecurity infrastructure, reporting, and compliance. This role plays a key part in supporting daily IT infosec operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.

We are seeking an individual with established technical expertise in an infosec/cyber security capacity (ideally at least two years) and a strong understanding of the latest developments in this field. The successful candidate will have experience working with security tools such as Mimecast, Microsoft 365 for DLP, DarkInvader, and Senseon for threat intelligence and network monitoring.

The duties of this position include:

  • Supporting the running of daily security operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management;
  • Overseeing the use of security tools to ensure the firm's information security posture remains effective;
  • Supporting investigations of infosec incidents, helping coordinate the Firm's response;
  • Working with the Information Security Manager to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the Firm's infosec approach.

This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract. We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including a pension plan, life assurance, income protection scheme, and private medical and dental insurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least two years' experience working in an IT infosec/cyber security capacity, ideally within the legal field or similar professional services environment;
  • Strong technical awareness in IT information/cyber security, with a passion for development in this area;
  • Experience with security tools, including Mimecast, Microsoft 365 for DLP, DarkInvader, and EDS.
