Residential Childcare Specialist

We are proud to be working with this Ofsted-approved residential childcare provider who currently has an exciting opportunity for a number of Residential Childcare Specialists and Team Leaders to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the basic care of children, assisting and ensuring good personal care, health care, education, and recreational activities.
  • Proactively support the young person's care plan.
  • Transport/support young people to and from school, health appointments, etc.
  • Ensure a regular log and record of events is maintained, including night observation/medication checklist.
  • Prepare and write reports in accordance with the child's needs and organisational requirements.
  • Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans.

Requirements:

  • Genuine commitment to the welfare of children.
  • Previous experience of working with children and young people is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep ins.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce or working towards it - desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience.
  • Full UK driving license and own car are a must.
  • Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
