About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our in-house legal team at North Northamptonshire Council. As a Childcare Lawyer, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance on childcare-related matters to clients, colleagues, and elected members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general and specialist childcare advice on behalf of the Council.
  • Manage a caseload of child protection cases, including attendance at court and tribunals.
  • Advising on policy, strategy, and procedures relating to childcare issues.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant degree and be a qualified CILEX, Solicitor, or Barrister, licensed to practice.
  • Have experience in childcare work.
  • Effectively and appropriately provide and communicate legal advice to Members, Officers, and other stakeholders.
