Job Summary

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Thoracic Consultant to join our renowned Thoracic Surgery team. As a leading centre for the surgical management of malignant pleural mesothelioma and emphysema, we offer a unique opportunity for an exceptional surgeon to contribute to our innovative practice.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality Consultant Thoracic Surgery services, ensuring the provision of good standards of practice and care, and participating in audit and research activities.

Key Requirements

  • MB BS or Equivalent Higher Degree
  • Full GMC Registration
  • FRCS or Equivalent
  • Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of and a commitment to training/teaching undergraduate and postgraduates
  • Enthusiastic and ability to inspire and lead others
