Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Accountant to join our team at NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the National Payment System and delivering contract finance function/operating model.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Finance Support: Provide expert contract finance support to ICB Teams, including contract forecasting, patient validation, and contract finance analysis.
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain income and expenditure budgets through the ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  3. Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly and forecast contract finance reporting, investigating variances and making required budget or expenditure adjustments.
  4. Collaboration and Improvement: Work closely with ICB and ICS teams to ensure financial sustainability and delivery of statutory financial targets, contributing to the development of new contract finance models.
