We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time position that requires someone who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to a student with autism, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential social and academic skills.
- They will also implement individualised education plans and support the child in achieving their learning goals.
- Furthermore, they will collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and report on the child's progress.
We estimate that this role is compensated at approximately £25,000 per annum.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Qualities: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
- Knowledge: An understanding of autism and effective strategies for supporting students with ASD in a classroom setting.
