About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at AndRecruit Engineering. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and designs for mechanical products using CAD software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical products using CAD software, including Creo.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Be involved in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development.
  • Create documentation and project reports.
  • Update 3D models and drawings.
  • Input parts into the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and create Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Check drawings for sign-off and liaise with pre-production and operations functions.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND/degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering role.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, including Creo.
  • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
