We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Axion Recruitment. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and equipment for our client, a leading Process Machines Manufacturer based in East Yorkshire, UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment from concept to startup and operation.
- Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection.
- Provide engineering support to customers, and to the Sales, R&D, and Aftermarket teams.
- Review design and perform code calculation requirements for pressure vessels.
- Assist with training and help mentor Level I Engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-6+ years related experience.
- Proficient in Project Scheduling, tracking and reporting, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram creation, Process Flow Diagram creation, Pressure vessel design, Equipment design.
- Demonstrates professional integrity and ethics.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Required knowledge in AutoCAD.
- Strong Microsoft office skills.
