Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Gi Group Professionals. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and equipment for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection.
- Provide engineering support to customers, and to the Sales, R&D, and Aftermarket teams.
- Review design and perform code calculation requirements for pressure vessels.
- As required and as assigned, perform the roles, functions, and responsibilities for project manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-6+ years related experience (Level II).
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical and commercial contracts.
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language (European or Asian languages) preferred but not required.
- Required knowledge in AutoCAD.
- Strong Microsoft office skills.
- Preferred knowledge in Autodesk Inventor, CAD Vault, ASME, COMPRESS, PED, ASPIN and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis - domestically or internationally up to 15% of the time, in office and industrial plant environments.
