The Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fortem Cares. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our capital works programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support the success and development of the business.
  • Work in partnership with Operations Management to achieve or exceed budgeted targets.
  • Responsible for the application of schedule of rates and contractual arrangements.
  • Maximise cash flow through monthly invoicing and resolve client queries.
  • Monitor and analyse management information to support data-driven decision making.
  • Identify potential disputes and report to line manager.
  • Ensure sub-contractor orders accurately reflect main contract requirements.
  • Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the preparation and timely reporting of information.

Essential Criteria

  • QS degree or equivalent training and relevant experience.
  • Excellent numeracy and organisation skills.
  • Data interrogation skills.
  • Excellent IT knowledge, including high-level Excel skills.
  • Contractual awareness.
  • Negotiating and communication skills.
  • Line management experience and development of people.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant contract conditions.

Desirable Criteria

  • Working towards MCIOB or RICS membership.
