The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fortem Cares. As a key member of our capital works programme, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress and costs
  • Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Operations Management to develop and implement effective cost control measures
  • Manage and coordinate the work of Assistant Quantity Surveyors and other team members
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and disputes
  • Prepare and submit regular reports, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and Cost Value Comparison (CVC)

Requirements

  • QS degree or equivalent training and experience
  • Excellent numeracy and organisation skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and data interrogation
  • Contractual awareness and negotiation skills
  • Line management experience and ability to develop and motivate a team
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant contract conditions and re-measurement of high-risk packages and trades
