A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced QA Manager to join our team at Zest. As a key member of our Technical department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality within our food manufacturing operation.
You will be responsible for leading the front-line delivery on food safety and quality assurance processes, implementing and maintaining BRC and HACCP standards to guarantee compliance. Your strong background in QA team management and proven knowledge in BRC and HACCP standards implementation will be essential in driving continuous improvement and excellence within the QA team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor quality KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the front-line delivery on food safety and quality assurance processes.
- Implement and maintain BRC and HACCP standards to guarantee compliance.
- Manage and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Conduct audits covering GMPs, traceability, and workplace safety.
- Act as the primary liaison for customer visits and audits, ensuring a seamless communication and satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across operations, engineering, production, hygiene, and NPD to achieve quality objectives.
We are looking for a confident communicator with a positive management style and the ability to connect with all levels across the factory floor. Experience in food manufacturing and a strong background in QA team management are essential. Proven knowledge in BRC and HACCP standards implementation, intermediate or advanced HACCP, and a Food or Science related degree level are desirable.
