**The role is flexible but needs to be based within our operating regions, Hants, Wilts, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, London.**

The Projects Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering a range of complex building and construction projects and programmes in collaboration with the Property Services Team. The role covers all aspects of project and programme management, from concept design and feasibility studies to procurement and contract administration, to quality assurance and handover.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Specification writing and procurement lead for all projects and programmes in scope.
- Project management of internal and external resources, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensuring Section 20 process are followed were relevant.
- Financial reporting and budget management for all projects and programmes in scope.
- Managing Contractor andor Consultants delivering projects ranging from £50k to £2m value.
- Contractor performance reviews and management, ensuring adherence to core material ranges and service standards.
- Technical surveying and advice for all projects and programmes in scope.
- Constructions Design and Management - Client Function, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Management of all projects and programmes to meet or exceed the agreed performance indicators, including audit, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Supplier management to ensure that contracts are procured competitively, transparently, and ethically, and that services are delivered in accordance with the contract terms and conditions.
- Providing regular reports on project and programme progress, risks, issues and outcomes to the Head of Major Works and other stakeholders as required.

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant qualification in building or construction related discipline and membership of the RICS, CIOB or BEng, or equivalent.

**Skills & Experience**:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience managing building projects from inception to completion
- Management skills / training accreditation including project management techniques
- Experience of managing budgets in excess of £1m
- Experience of leasehold matters including Section 20 procedures
- Experience of engaging Consultants, including setting out terms and conditions
- A thorough understanding of current Health and Safety with reference to the building and construction sector including requirements of CDM
- The ability to provide oral and written reports, and detailed specifications, schedules of work and tender documents
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of financial and contractual considerations
- Knowledge of property legislation, including Building Regulations, Planning Approval and the Party Wall etc. Act matters and processes
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
