Job Summary

This role involves providing support to children and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex health needs in a residential setting.

The salary for this position is £29,093 - £32,654 per annum, with the possibility of up to £5,000 in additional earnings.

We are looking for an individual who can work closely with the team to ensure the best possible care for the children and young people in our care.

About the Role

You will be required to work a range of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties. The nature of these shift patterns offers a level of flexibility for employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide close personal care, which may include bathing and pad changes, and undertake moving and handling, gastro feeding, and specialist health procedures, where training will be given.
  2. To adopt an aspirational approach to support and develop the Children's Homes Service to achieve its vision of providing high quality care and support to children, young people, and their families.
  3. To have experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with disabilities.
Requirements

This role requires:

  • GCSE Grade A – C in Maths and English or a qualification that is equivalent or higher.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent as stated in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015) within 18 months of programme enrolment to meet regulatory requirements.
  • A minimum age of 22 years old or above.
