Job Summary
Spinner Medical Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Academic Psychiatrist to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. As a key member of our mental health services, you will provide first-class care and advice to patients, carers, and families in inpatient, community, and outreach settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant advice to colleagues internally and in other specialties, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies across the service, focusing on clinical governance, quality improvement, audit, teaching, and professional development.
- Lead and participate in initiatives to enhance clinical practice, patient safety, and staff well-being.
- Advocate for professional development, ensuring your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is up-to-date and encouraging colleagues to do the same.
Requirements
- FRANZCP or specialist training completed in Ireland, UK, USA, Sri Lanka (with Australian or NZ international placement), Canada, or South Africa.
- Completion of a formal post in child and adolescent psychiatry of at least 6 months if trained in the countries listed above.
- Experience in delivering specialist care in multicultural environments.
- Experience in rural and remote mental health care provision will be highly regarded.
